cut out the middleman in court reporting

Why do some national court reporting firms charge so much money?  You decide.

Job description posted by U.S. Legal Support on LinkedIn as of October 2013:

“This is a direct contributor, non-management role, with the primary responsibility being generating new business, not account management.  A successful candidate may have relationships at law firms, preferably at the Amlaw level, however this is not a prerequisite.  The candidate will sell our full suite of litigation services which include, Court Reporting, Medical Record Retrieval, Trial Consulting and Litigation Support, with a focus on Court Reporting Services…The successful candidate should make six figures within 12-18 months, and commission is uncapped and unlimited. We expect success and we encourage ambition and a strong desire for wealth-creation.”

Attorneys, litigants, and insurance companies, listen up:  You can pay U.S. Legal Support or other “national” court reporting firms hundreds of thousands of dollars to hire local reporters as subcontractors, OR you can just hire local reporters  directly without the additional six-figure markup absorbed into your bills.  Migliore & Associates can meet all of your court reporting needs.  (No, we don’t offer trial consulting services because it would be unethical for us to do so as certified professionals with an obligation to offer like services to all parties and because of our duty to avoid the appearance of impropriety and bias.)

Cut out the middleman and hire direct to save money.  No long-term contract needed.

Migliore & Associates, Louisville Court Reporters and Video Services, offers its services in compliance with KRS 254.280 and the National Court Reporters Association’s Code of Professional Ethics. Free conference rooms in the heart of downtown Louisville, KY 40202
